Family Rosaries Each Day for the Month of Mary

​When the Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Juan Diego, she asked for a sanctuary to be erected where people can come to her in their needs.  In all our churches and in our homes, we have a special prayer area dedicated to the Virgin Mary, so that we can come to her to calm our fears and to ask for her intercession for us before God.  Here are her words.

"I wish and intensely desire that in this place my sanctuary be erected. Here I will demonstrate and exhibit and give all my love, my compassion, my help and my protection to the people. I am your merciful Mother. The merciful Mother of all of you who live united in this land, and of all people, of all those who love me. Here I will hear their weeping, their sorrow, and will remedy, and alleviate all their multiple sufferings, necessities and misfortunes."

"Listen, put it into your heart, my youngest and dearest son, that the thing that frightens you, the thing that afflicts you, is nothing: do not let it disturb you... Am I not here, I who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Am I not the source of your joy? Are you not in the hollow of my mantle, in the crossing of my arms? Do you need something more? Let nothing else worry or disturb you."

Cuando la Virgen María se le apareció a San Juan Diego, ella pidió que se construyera un santuario donde la gente pudiera acudir a ella en sus necesidades. En todas nuestras iglesias y en nuestros hogares, tenemos un área especial de oración dedicada a la Virgen María, para que podamos acudir a ella para calmar nuestros temores y pedir su intercesión por nosotros ante Dios. Aquí están sus palabras.

«Quiero mucho y deseo vivamente que en este lugar me levanten mi templo. En donde Lo mostraré, Lo ensalzaré al ponerlo de manifiesto: Lo daré a las gentes en todo mi amor personal, en mi mirada compasiva, en mi auxilio, en la salvación.  Porque yo soy vuestra Madre misericordiosa, de ti, y de todos los hombres que viven unidos en esta tierra, y de todas las personas que me amen, los que me hablen, los que me busquen y los que en mí tienen confianza. Allí les escucharé sus lloros, su tristeza, para remediar, para curar todas sus diferentes penas, sus miserias, sus dolores.»

«Oye y pon bien en tu corazón, hijo mío el más pequeño: nada te asuste, nada te aflija, tampoco se altere tu corazón, tu rostro; no temas esta enfermedad ni ninguna otra enfermedad o algo molesto, angustioso o doliente.  ¿No estoy aquí yo, que soy tu Madre? ¿No estás bajo mi sombra y resguardo? ¿No soy yo la fuente de tu alegría? ¿No estás en el hueco de mi manto, en donde se cruzan mis brazos? ¿Tienes necesidad de alguna otra cosa?  Que ninguna otra cosa te aflija, te perturbe.»

May Intentions of the Pope

For each day of this month, one or more family at Saint George will pray the Rosary for the intentions of Pope Francis and the intentions of all the members in our St. George Community.

Intentions of Pope Francis for the month of May:  "For Deacons: We pray that deacons, faithful in their service to the Word and the poor, may be an invigorating symbol for the entire Church."

Por cada día de este mes, una o más familias en San Jorge rezarán el Rosario por las intenciones del Papa Francisco y las intenciones de todos los miembros de nuestra comunidad de San Jorge.

Intención de oración del Papa Francisco para el mes de mayo: "Por los diáconos. Recemos para que los diáconos, fieles al servicio de la Palabra y de los pobres, sean un signo vivificante para toda la Iglesia."

Families who have signed up to pray the Rosary

The following families have signed up on a day in May to pray the Rosary.  They will pray for the intentions of the Pope Francis and those of the community.  Please continue to sign up to pray the Rosary on any of the dates, the more families, the better.

Las siguientes familias se inscribieron en un día de mayo para rezar el Rosario. Rezarán por las intenciones del Papa Francisco y las de la comunidad. Continúe inscribiéndose para rezar el Rosario en cualquiera de las fechas, cuantas más familias, mejor.
